It’s a Dirty Job
Over the past several years, Underwater Resources, Inc. has become a preferred commercial diving and marine construction vendor for many wastewater treatment facilities in the San Francisco Bay Area and around Northern California. While many other divers shy away from this type of work, we have the experience to perform these hazardous dives safely. Recently we performed maintenance on a baffle wall inside a dairy waste pond that involved a 600-foot penetration dive. The material was nearly too thick to traverse, so the dive had to be performed from multiple points of entry. While it can be nerve-racking diving in zero visibility, we were able to provide the client with vital information on their system. We’re thrilled that the new union rules going into effect on July 1st address the issue of hazardous dive pay.
